Flexitank Inspection & Root-Cause Analysis
Flexitank inspection
At PPC Philton, our Emergency Response Team has the technical expertise and specialised equipment to carry out thorough inspections of any Flexitank and conduct detailed root-cause analyses of damage or failure. This service not only supports insurance claims but also helps prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future. We offer surveyor services for a variety of emergency situations, including:
- Leaking Flexitank: Flexitanks can leak for numerous reasons, conditions, and external factors. Our team is highly experienced in identifying the root cause of such leaks, whether they stem from handling, installation, transport conditions, or manufacturing defects.
- Problems at discharge: In some cases, Flexitanks may experience discharge issues, preventing complete extraction of the product. We investigate these cases to determine what caused the obstruction or inefficiency.
- Damaged container: Unexpected damage to the container may compromise the safety or usability of the Flexitank. We assess such damage and, using tracking data, container inspection, and expert analysis, determine likely causes and contributing factors.
After the inspection, you will receive a comprehensive technical report detailing our findings, analysis, and potential root causes, along with photographic evidence to support conclusions.
We offer inspections to the logistics industry and to other global Flexitank manufacturers.
Areas we cover
Based in the UK, we offer rapid response times for Flexitank inspections nationwide, but we also operate throughout Europe.
What we can survey
We can inspect and analyse any type of Flexitank or container, regardless of the product it contains. Surveys can be carried out at any stage of use, including:
- During transport, while the Flexitank is still full
- During a cross-pumping operation
- While goods are being delivered at the destination
- After the Flexitank has been emptied
How we can assist you even more
In addition to inspection and root-cause analysis, we also provide:
- Cross-pumping: If the Flexitank is leaking or damaged and the product needs to be transferred, our Emergency Response Team can safely carry out a cross-pumping operation into a new container or Flexitank.
- Technical assistance: If you require a second opinion or expert guidance, we can support you with recommendations and oversight for any part of your logistics process—whether it’s loading and unloading procedures, Flexitank installation, or performance optimisation.
