Cross-pumping


At PPC Philton, our Emergency Response Team is equipped to safely transfer the contents of a Flexitank to another container, typically for product preservation or safety reasons. We offer cross-pumping services for a wide range of emergency scenarios, including:


    

  • Leaking Flexitank: If a Flexitank is leaking or damaged and the product needs to be transferred to a new Flexitank to prevent further loss, we can respond quickly. In addition to cross-pumping, we can carry out a Flexitank inspection and root-cause analysis to identify the source of the leak.
    • 

  • Damaged container: If a shipping container is compromised during transport and deemed unsafe for further use, we can transfer the product into a new container to ensure continued safe handling and transit.
    • 

  • Fermented or damaged product: In cases where the product has fermented or undergone alteration, transferring it to a new Flexitank may be beneficial. During the cross-pumping process, we can carry out additional actions, such as removing foam or contaminants, to preserve the quality of the product.
